Nice try, Outlook...
I've been working on minimizing distractions at work. The problem is, many distractions are built into the very fiber of modern technology.
Take Outlook for example. While I can keep it from making sounds at me whenever I get an email and make sure it doesn't push a notification, I was unable to find a way to shut off the red dot on the favicon.
What red dot? This one.
Every time an email comes through, I'm distracted by the tyranny of the red dot notification.
After failing to find way to turn it off in Outlook's settings, I opted for a low tech solution.
All it took was a sliver of sticky note and a pen. As long as I keep Outlook as the first tab, I don't have to fall prey to Outlook's red dot distraction.
